Let’s Talk: Sickle Cell Disease and the Brain: The Mind Matters

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (2.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (2.00 hours)

1. Understand the effects of the sickle cell disorders on brain development and cognition.
2. Explain these effects of the sickle cell disorders to the patient and caregivers.
3. Recognize the effects and refer for appropriate imaging and other cognitive interventions.
4. Increase the provider’s ability to modify their interactions with the person with sickle cell to account for cognitive variations and challenges.

This event will be held virtually via Teams. You will receive an e-mail with instructions and the link to join one day prior to the session.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee.  No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date.  Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
