Overview

We had an incredibly successful CME activity in 2025. This year, we are looking forward to offering more exciting evidence-based presentations in several gastrointestinal subspecialties, including esophageal, gastric, small bowel, colon, and hepatology. We are using the recently updated guidelines and best practice advisories from multiple major gastroenterology societies, including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Association for the Study of Liver Disease to ensure our agenda is robust with up-to-date information for practitioners in our field. We are fortunate to have presentations delivered by several expert gastroenterologists from The Cooper Health System, as well as others from outside institutions who are nationally and internationally renowned for their expertise.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe current and new modalities in the diagnosis and management of commonly encountered diagnoses in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  2. Utilize evidence-based medicine and updated clinical guidelines in the care of patients in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, The Cooper Health System is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Cooper Health System has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 6.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 6.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.

Successful completion of this CME activity, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

The Cooper Health System designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.     Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
